A publishing CEO names it one of two books she hand-sold this year — 'I must have recommended to 3 dozen people'
Pierucci is the CEO of a publishing company. Her post argues that publishing follows a Pareto distribution steep enough that YA Fiction lost 25% of its sales in the first half of 2026 for want of a Suzanne Collins release, and that the only dependable route to sales is a book readers hand on to each other. She names two titles she pushed personally, Theo of Golden and Incorruptible, and puts her own count for the latter at three dozen people.
“This year I recommended the bejeezus out of "Theo of Golden," but another book I honestly assisted greatly with sales was Eric Ries's "Incorruptible," which I must have recommended to 3 dozen people.” — Stephanie Pierucci on LinkedIn
