Zach Resnick (CEO, Ascend) publishes his company's mission and four ten-year commitments — 'the catalyst for working on this for me was reading Eric Ries's Incorruptible'
Zach Resnick and his co-founder spent the summer drafting Ascend's mission, values and ten-year goals, sent it to shareholders to tear apart, took an investor's note that rewrote a whole section, and opened it to the team before publishing. The page commits in public to four numbers: $100 million saved for members, 100 million hours of booking returned, 10 million hours of travel stress removed, 100 million unwanted decisions eliminated. He names the book as the reason he started.
“And for founders who want to get reinvigorated about why they started their company and ensure that what it makes special stays or grows over time, the catalyst for working on this for me was reading Eric Ries's Incorruptible. Can't recommend the book more highly!” — Zach Resnick on LinkedIn
