Sami Mäkeläinen (Children of the Magenta) rates it 5 out of 5 — 'the most practical book about the structural rot in modern capitalism I've read – and more importantly, how it can be fought'

Sami Mäkeläinen reviews the book for his Substack, Children of the Magenta, and is explicit that he came in hostile: his first reading note, a few pages into the introduction, was 'this story seems bullshit.' He says the case studies — Costco, Novo Nordisk, Bosch, Patagonia, Mondragon, credit unions, Johnson & Johnson — are what started chipping away at his fatalism about capitalism. The review also works through what does and doesn't translate to Australian super funds and listing rules. Rated 5 out of 5, with a 'dog-ear index' of 14.3, one of the highest he has recorded.

“However, what followed was the most practical book about the structural rot in modern capitalism I’ve read – and more importantly, how it can be fought. To my surprise, it turns out it can be fought.” — Sami Mäkeläinen in Children of the Magenta
