Kris Braun (startup CTO, ex-Google PM) — 'Incorruptible, paradoxically, gave me hope' — and is now gathering a mission-locked founder community in Toronto–Waterloo

Kris Braun — a 0→1 product creator, startup CTO and former Google PM — writes that he had written off whole categories of business and investment as inherently corrupting until this book convinced him mission-locked companies are achievable. He says he wants to spend the rest of his career building one, and he and Natasha Freidus (already on the timeline for her Toronto book group) are organizing a Canadian community around it.

“As a founder, I came to similar conclusions and had written off many forms of business and investment simply because I thought they were inherently corrupting. Incorruptible, paradoxically, gave me hope. Through stories of mission-locked ventures that have successfully maintained their purpose through generations of leadership, I've begun to believe building such companies is possible. I want to devote the remainder of my career to building a mission-locked company, one that chooses public benefit as its primary purpose and profit as the fuel to sustainably achieve it.” — Kris Braun on LinkedIn
