Christina Wodtke (Stanford lecturer · author, 'Radical Focus') — 'suddenly I understood the answer to "if it can destroy humanity, why do AI labs keep working toward it?"'

Wodtke lectures at Stanford Continuing Studies and wrote Radical Focus and The Team That Managed Itself; she is one of the earliest OKR practitioners in Silicon Valley. She came out of the financial-gravity chapter with an answer to a question she had never been able to answer: why AI labs keep pushing toward a technology that could destroy humanity. She also said the book is what she can hand students who ask her what to do with that.
