Cagan is founder and a partner at Silicon Valley Product Group and wrote INSPIRED, EMPOWERED and TRANSFORMED. His essay 'Great Products, Bad Companies' argues that a company proven able to build great products becomes a target for people chasing a quick financial win, and that he was wrong to leave corporate governance to lawyers and business experts. He had reviewed and endorsed The Lean Startup fifteen years earlier.
